Dear Potential New Member,
Welcome! First, let us congratulate you on your recent acceptance to RIT and wish you the best as you begin this new and exciting part of your life. RIT is a large school with many clubs and organizations for you to enjoy and we are excited that you have decided to explore Greek Life.
There are five chapters that make up the College Panhellenic Council, which include: Alpha Sigma Alpha, Alpha Xi Delta, Delta Phi Epsilon, Sigma Sigma Sigma, and Zeta Tau Alpha. Each chapter contributes something unique to the Greek Community which helps it to provide so many different opportunities for those involved.
Joining a sorority is a commitment that so many women make and cherish for the rest of their lives. We wish you luck. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact anyone on the council.

Tips for Going Through Recruitment
Sorority recruitment is a great experience. During recruitment you get to meet new people on your campus and be exposed to a new opportunity for involvement. Here is some advice to help you through the recruitment process:
- Be yourself.
- Have genuine and honest conversations.
- Spend time really getting to know the members.
- Expose yourself to the chapter experience.
- Look for the group where you feel most comfortable.
- Keep an open mind.
- Trust the process.
- Have fun.
- Wear in an obnoxiously adorable outfit that you know will turn heads and get you compliments! (i.e. mondo conversation starter)
- Show up to rush energized and ready to face any challenge that comes your way.
- Carry on positive conversations that highlight what makes you qualified to join their sorority.
- Be Yourself...
- Pick outfits that you are comfortable in. Don't try to be someone you are not just for recruitment. If you are not comfortable in an outfit, don't wear it. You may tend to be shyer or not as talkative if you are in something you do not feel good about wearing.
